The guardians of the first and last bulwarks of democracy are Among Ed’s cabalens.

The activist Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, the last bastion of democracy, hails from Guagua, Pampanga. He is beacon of hope.

Patriotic Justice Jose Melo, the newly appointed chair of the COMELEC, the first bulwark of democracy, is from Angeles City. To borrow the words of Chief Justice Artemio Panganiban, another Pampanga's illustrious son, Justice Melo has engendered hope for honest, peaceful and orderly elections.

These two honest and courageous Kapampangans along with their fellow cabalen Among Ed are the guiding light for good governance and responsible citizenship.

It is my fervent hope that Pampanga’s favorite daughter President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo come to her sense of history and take a leaf from the book of these extraordinary Kapampangans.
